Hussain Sajwani Builds Great Things & Wants to Build a Great Future as Well

Hussain Sajwani, DAMAC Owner and founder of the DAMAC Group, is best known for his bombastic personality, his sometimes, over the top publicity stunts for his real estate properties, and the often seemingly extravagant lifestyles of the Hussain Sajwani family. There is another side to this man however.

Sajwani is a man who came from humble beginnings and the DAMAC Group, of which he serves as Chairman and CEO, did as well. In his almost spartan like offices, he puts pride of place not to photos of him with his rich and powerful friends and associates, not to awards and accolades that he has earned in the world of global businesses and finance, and not even to the Quran of which he is an avid reader. Instead, he has a simple, cheap plaque presented to him by the United States Army, which reads “in recognition and gratitude for Excellence in Food Service Operations during Operation Desert Storm.” He takes great pride in this simple token of gratitude. He says that it keeps him grounded and inspires others that out of humble beginnings, great things can form.

With that idea in mind, he is also a man who commits great amounts of time and financial assistance to a wide variety of charitable organizations and humanitarian aid groups. Just recently, Sajwani donated AED 2M to a group that provides clothing to needy children all over the world. The donation will help to cloth more than one million kids around the world. He also gives a great deal of money to other groups which help to combat poverty, HIV, Cancer, and war strife in countries all over the Middle East and Africa.

The man who is famous for his high-rise luxury developments, and the building of ultra-exclusive golf courses with billionaire global real estate tycoon and US President Donald J. Trump, is also interested in building a better world. He is a developer of some of the most glamourous and glitzy properties in Dubai, but in his heart, he is a man who wants to develop better lives for those who are the most in need.
